We partner with agencies in our community to help support individuals and families with food by referral. Agencies fill out paperwork, send it in, and our outreach teams will then connect with you to book you in for a food hamper!
Food rescue is the process of gleaning viable food so that it is not going to waste. Instead it’s redirected to support local community members. We directly collect from food industry and redirect food locally through our programs and through Food Link.
The Food Link program provides food and supplies to qualified organizations so they can focus their resources on important program delivery dealing with root causes of food insecurity.
FREE Community Meals
We offer Free Community Meals every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00pm-6:00pm. We serve a well-balanced and nutritious meal and distribute additional items depending on donations that day. Transportation is available by calling 780-205-1666 before 3:00pm the day of the meal.
We host a seniors luncheon each Friday from 11:00am – 1:00pm. We serve a delicious meal, provide entertainment, and enjoy fellowship with the seniors in our community.
Senior Fresh Food Deliveries
With the help of our Food Rescue Program we are able to deliver fresh produce, dairy, baked goods and meat to five low-income seniors buildings each and every week. Our outreach team enjoys coffee with the seniors that attend the program and provide additional support when needed.
We provide a hamper service to five low-income seniors buildings two times a year. We have designed a seniors friendly list of food options for our guests to choose from and deliver the hampers to their buildings. This provides an accessible service for everyone!
Our men's coffee group runs every Tuesday from 9:00am-10:00am. We share our struggles and stories over a cup of coffee and cookies.
Every Thursday we gather from 1:00pm-2:00pm to connect and enjoy tea and coffee with women in our community.
Our MOMS program is an inclusive, fun and supportive group that runs every Thursday night. We serve a healthy well balanced meal, enjoy activities and bring in speakers on topics such as taxes, parenting and mental health. Childcare is provided!
We believe that schools are vital to creating positive, long term change in a community. We want school to be a positive part of a child’s day and an outlet for necessities when needed. With the help of our Food Rescue program we are able to provide schools with bread products, yogurt, milk, cereal, fruit cups, granola bars and much more so they can focus on their studies and enjoy there school day.
